@ The Port of Wichita, Saturday Jul 5th, 2003
This night was a special treat for all of us, First we were told by Chris Glaman, (the almighty booker of bands for the Port) that the forth of July weekend is traditionaly very slow & there probably would not be much of a crowd there, being that so many are out camping at the lake & such. But to our surprize & pure delight, there were a lot of familiar faces from our previous gigs!!(see below) Thank you so much you guys! for comin back! That means more to us than you know!
Then All the way from Odenville Alabamer, drove a peculiar bald headed performer, one of the founding members of this little rockin combo named TJ Clancy!, TJ & Pat spent the evening volleying the mic & entertaining us all! One of the big pursading factors for TJ driving down this weekend was to participte in a benefit for one of Wichita's few full time musicians, Gary Powell, had just undergone a triple bypass, This took place at the Loft 150. We even took a few pictures of that (the benifit, not the bypass). Liquid Ladder was billed first on the list so that we would have time to rush back to the port for a sound check.
Anyhows, After making our 20 minute contribution at the benifit, & hearing that Gary Powell was doing well, (as well as could be expected) & getting to play at The Port of Wichita! we were pumped! this night Rocked! The band was ON & surely the crowd had much to do with that! thankyou , thankyou, thankyou.
